Larry Larson (August 10, 1940-December 14, 2022) of Glen Burnie, MD is survived by Shirley, his wife of 44 years, brother Lyle Larson, sister Linda Sparling, sons Michael Larson, David Williams and Erik Larson, daughter Adrienne McCray, daughter in-laws (3), grandchildren (5), and great grandchildren (8).

Larry was born on August 10, 1940, to Donald and Wanda Larson of Ewing, Nebraska.  He grew up working on the family farm where he formed his love of growing food and animals.  He attended Ewing High School and was involved in football and track and field. After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Army, which he served for 2 years.  Once completing his service, he attended a junior college in Kansas and then finished his final 2 years of undergraduate education and a master’s degree at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Larry moved east to Washington DC and worked for Job Corps.  He later worked as a public servant for the state of Maryland for close to 30 years.  After retirement, he worked for Anne Arundel County for 5 years.  He retired again and volunteered for the Anne Arundel County police department where he received a service commendation.

Larry’s free time was spent woodworking, remodeling his house, gardening, cooking, and tracing his family ancestry.  His fried chicken was famous amongst the family and whoever had the opportunity to try it.  He was also a huge fan of University of Nebraska football and cheered passionately during the 3 national championships.  He also cared very much for his 6 cats and dog that he owned over his adult years.  He will be greatly missed and remembered for his good heart and bringing his family together at the holidays.
