Larry McKay Denton, 81, was called home to Heaven on Thursday, September 5, 2013. Larry attended Woodlawn High School, and Howard College (Samford). After spending two years in the Army, he returned and married his long time sweetheart, Patricia Lewis. They just celebrated 58 wonderful years on September 3rd. Survivors include, wife Patricia Lewis Denton, 4 daughters Leigh Morgan (Jack), Lesli Roper (Lane), Lynn Thompson (Steve), Laurie Nabers (Alan), 10 grandchildren Vince and Zane Williams, Amber Long, Brittany Roper, Matt, Lauren and Nick Thompson, Nathan, Noah, and Nali Nabers and 6 great grandchildren, sister Karen Green (Tom), and best buddy “Dandy the Dog”. He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Elizabeth Denton, brother Don Jr. and sister Betty Jean Hill. Special thanks to caregiver Sarah Parker and Hospice of Alabama.
