Larry Decker, 68, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Monday, January 5, 2009. Larry was born on Christmas day of 1940 in Three Oaks to Eldon and Justine (Paholski) Decker.
After graduating from Three Oaks High School in 1958, Larry joined the U.S. Army where he served his country as a Postmaster, stationed in Germany. On October 10, 1981 he married Patricia Rose Martin, she survives. Larry was a member of the Randall Couchman American Legion Post 204, Three Oaks where he served as Chaplin for many years.
He enjoyed a beer at the Legion, singing, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Pat; children, Todd Decker of Three Oaks; Sandra (Darrell) Hinman of Three Oaks; Tommi (Keith) Peterson of Burlington, NJ and Richard (Juanita) Martin of Sawyer; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Peggy Meyers of New Buffalo; and sister-in-law, Donna Edinger of Three Oaks.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon Decker and Justine Bloomquist; step father, George Bloomquist; and brother, George Decker.
