Larry Dean Sorenson, age 72, of Sun Lakes, Arizona died Saturday, May 28th of natural causes in Boise, Idaho.
Larry was born on December 19, 1949 in Caldwell, Idaho to Marvin and Vearl Sorenson. He graduated from Parma High School and went on to earn his bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Idaho. Larry farmed for 32 years in the Ten Davis area. He then became a Registered Investment Advisor for the next 15 years before finally retiring.
Larry was married to Mary Ann (Walz) Sorenson for 48 years. They have two daughters: Monica (and Patric Ernsberger), and Tosha Sorenson. He especially loved his grandchildren Olivia and Calvin Ernsberger. He enjoyed a close relationship with all of his cousins and extended family.
Larry was a long time resident of Parma, Idaho before moving to Arizona full time 2 years ago.
Larry was always joyful and quick to share a smile and laughter. He loved sharing stories of his various antics with his trademark humor and the distinct Sorenson laugh. He enjoyed elk hunting, skiing and golf was his passion. He was also a connoisseur of ice cream, candy, and pie. Larry lived courageously with Parkinson’s disease for 34 years and did his best to not let the disease slow him down. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Vearl Sorenson.
