Larry D. Cunningham, 59, of Germantown Hills, IL passed away at 2:12 am on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born on December 15, 1961 in Springfield, MO to Donald and JoAnn (Fields) Cunningham. He married Elizabeth E. Ruhman on October 3, 1987 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth of Germantown Hills; sons, Kyle Cunningham of Villa Park, IL and Tyler (Rashmi Tenneti) Cunningham of Pontiac, MI; father, Donald of Washington, IL; and brothers, Michael (Debra) Cunningham of Champaign, IL, Mark (Nancy) Cunningham of Berryville, VA, and Darren (Jenny) Cunningham of East Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Larry worked in marketing for Caterpillar Tractor Company until his retirement. Larry dedicated himself to giving his family the opportunities at happiness in life. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved anything to do with the University of Illinois. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. Larry lived in the moments with simple joy and happiness with all that knew him.
