Larry Clayton Blake, 66, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was a loving husband, father and PopPop.

Born November 25, 1944 in Greenbrier County, WV, he was the son of the late Thelma Hammond Blake and Clayton Blake.

A graduate of Kenwood Senior High School in Maryland, Mr. Blake was employed by Wal-Mart as a greeter. Earlier in life, he owned and operated a taxi cab business in Baltimore County, MD.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Wayne, Safret and Dallas Blake.

Survivors include his wife Mildred Wilhelm Blake, whom he married November 5, 1997; son John Wacker (Betty) of Salisbury; daughters, Anna Wacker of Baltimore, MD, Christine Wacker of Salisbury, Kelly Krejci and Denise Shachelford, both of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Dorma Lee Stewart, also of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Leea Krejci, Kylie Shachelford, Kaila Wacker, Josh Wacker, Shea and Scott Butterfield. Larry is also survived by his best friend, G. Wayne Hendrix.
