Larry C. “Whitey” Blowars, 71, of Quakertown, died Thursday, October 4 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 26, 1947 in Doylestown, he was a son of the late Clinton & Naomi (Berks) Blowars. He was the husband of Lynn (Menihan) Blowars for the past 49 years. Prior to retiring, he was a shift supervisor for Tinicum Research. Larry also served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Tinicum Gun Club & the Quakertown American Legion, Post #242, and also a member of St. Isidore’s Roman Catholic Church, Quakertown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Larry & wife Lillian and Thomas & wife Jamie, both of Quakertown; daughter Jennifer & companion Mary of East Greenville; a brother George & wife Carole in Montana; sisters Cheryl wife of Richard Kelly of Winter Haven, FL and Tina Marko of Chattahoochee, FL; grandchildren: Alexa Blowars, Brianna Blowars, Kayla Bright and husband David Bright, Shane Blowars, and Riley Blowars; great-grandsons: Oliver Blowars-Bright and Finley Bright. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Blowars.
