Larry Bill Keckler passed away on August 18th at Forest Ridge, Woodland Park Colorado.  He was born to William and Mable (Leesley) Keckler in Fargo on June 20, 1946.

For the next chapter of his life, Larry moved to Colorado to pursue his love of the outdoors. He was active in many sports and loved motorcycles, hiking and camping in the backcountry. Later his interest turned to horses and he became an accomplished horseman earning four separate national championships in Competitive Trail Riding. He also received a certificate for completing the entire Colorado Trail on horseback. He and his wife Mary Ellen spent many vacations in Ireland riding cross country at various equestrian centers

Larry retired from the Penrose St Francis Health System after 34 years where he worked in the medical microbiology department of the laboratory.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Mable Keckler. Grandmother Tressa Keckler

Surviving him are his wife Mary Ellen Keckler, his sister Ann Marie (Elwood) Huyke Bradenton FL and his brother Tim (Julie) Keckler, Argusville, ND.
