Mr. Larry Benford Payne, 67 of Decatur, Alabama died May 14, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born to the late Jack and Beatrice Hanson Payne on Aug. 5, 1946 in Cullman. He was a driver for 46 years in the trucking industry.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, his son, Larry D. Payne, granddaughter, Amanda Kincaid and brothers, Kenneth and Jackie.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Carol Dees Payne of Decatur; three daughters, Pamela Freeman of Somerville, Helen Spencer of Illinois and Eula Hess of Michigan, one brother, Larry Payne of Decatur; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Honoring the request of Mr. Payne there will be no services.
