Lanette Rae Mary was born June 12, 1956 and she and I lived with my Pelton family for most of her first two years. My brother Ray, also her namesake, was her constant companion and when she was five he would cart her around the neighborhood in dad’s old wheelbarrow. He was her Ray-Ray! She was a happy smiley baby and everyone loved her. She told her Uncle Tom she wanted to marry him. Her life became one of travel at age two, when I married Joe Balderrama. Our family quickly grew to include Kathleen, Deena and Joseph Christopher. Seven years later, Melissa was born in Sicily and Net, now 12, treated her like she was her second mama.
She married Ray Duncan and he with their “love pup” Emma, were constant companions and loving caregivers till her death on February 25, 2021
