Mrs. Jackson died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Temple, Texas at a local hospital. She was born September 27, 1926 to Clarence Otha and Clara Evelyn Buckley in Holland Texas. She was the 1944 Salutatorian of Academy High School. On December 12, 1945 she married Melvin (Dick) L Jackson in New Braunfels, Texas.
She worked for the Bell County Tax Office, Bell County Abstract and the Temple VA. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belton. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Pam Taylor of Bryan, Patty Golden of Belton; three grandsons, Skip Taylor of Bryan, David Golden of Temple and Brian Golden of Pearland, one granddaughter, Tashia Dickerson of Bryan and seven great grandchildren. Also, two nieces and four nephews.
