Surviving are his wife of 29 years: Alice Smous; two children: Dustin Smous of Indiana and Cari Cooper of California; two grandchildren: Aries and Avery; and mother: Ermajean Schneider of Portage. Preceding him in death were his father; two infant children; sister: Annette Rupchock; and brother: Brian Smous. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.
