On October 24, 2000, Landon Scott Freeman was born to Rod and Peggy Freeman in Douglas GA. He passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the age of 20 due to complications from an extended illness. He was his mom’s “little man” and his daddy’s “buddy”. He was simply called “Bubba” by his two sisters, Katie Laine Freeman and Emily Freeman. Landon was most proud to be called “Bubba” by his little nephew, Jonathan Freeman. He is also survived by his grandmother, Anne Freeman, several aunts, uncles and many cousins and abundance of friends and his best fur friend, Skye.  His grandparents, Dr. E.

Landon was a quiet, kind hearted and gentle young man  Landon was an avid baseball player his whole life, playing on various rec league and travel ball teams during his youth. He was proud to have been part of the CHS Baseball team during his high school years. He loved the outdoors,  enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best buddies, training and playing with his best friend, his dog Skye.  At the time of his illness, he was attending classes through Middle Georgia State University School of Aviation.

If Landon could say anything right now, he would say to you to love your family and friends with your whole heart, to slow down and spend times with those you love and to know Jesus and have Him in your heart.  It was during his illness that he really came to understand what it meant to have God in your heart. He would always say Jesus is “my Lord, my Savior and my Holy Spirit”.  During his illness, he wanted to know that someone was being saved by and drawn to Jesus because of his ordeal.
