On Friday, July 29, 2016, Lancelot P. Coulter, Jr., 77, a longtime resident of New Britain and Old Saybrook, passed away at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in New London, CT on August 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Lancelot P. Coulter, Sr. and Elva (Leavitt). He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy as well as the United States Army and the Reserves. Prior to his retirement from dedicated service, he was employed with New Britain Machine as a Tool Designer for over 25 years and as a Process Engineer at Pratt & Whitney. For many years he enjoyed volunteering at the New Britain Industrial Museum and also held membership with the Austrian Club where he particularly enjoyed having hamburgers with friends. Left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 52 years, Joan (Yusciewitz) Coulter, his sons, Shawn C. Coulter of New Britain & Jeffrey P. Coulter and his wife Tamara of West Hartford, a sister Jacqueline Franklin of Maine, two adored grandchildren, Aiyanna & Justus, and nieces & nephews.
