Lance Donald Bertrand, 48, of Newton died on Monday, April 11, 2022, at his home.
Lance, the son of Larry and Dana (Bertrand) Roush, was born on September 26, 1973 in Des Moines. He grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School. Lance worked as a carpenter for the Carpenters 106 Union for over 26 years. Lance was united in marriage with Mary Ann Drake on April 6, 2006 in Des Moines. They made their home in Newton.
Lance is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bertrand of Newton; daughters, Christa (Tanner) Ferguson of Oskaloosa, Sierra Hamm (Tyler Plante) of Newton, and Cheyenne (Aaron) Love of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Dominic, Aubrey, Jameson, Ian, Lainey, and Zea; and his sister, Nicole (Jas) Spargur. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Roush; mother, Dana Lloyd; and his maternal grandparents who had raised him from a young age after the death of his parents, Donald and Mary Bertrand.
