LaMott Glen Oren was born March 25, 1953 in Vassar, Michigan to Lois Roth and Newell Oren. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Michigan State in 1976. His first job was with Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas where he worked for 18 years, rising to become a Senior Member of Technical Staff. After that he joined i2 Technologies, where he was credited as an inventor on 8 software patents. During his retirement years, he volunteered full time at Gospel for Asia and East-West Ministries in their information technology department. He also graduated from the Renovaré Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation. He is survived by his wife, Robin; daughter, Miah; son, Bion (Abby); grandchild, Elanor; sisters Tregna (Dan) and Marce (Dan). Memorials can be made to Renovaré at Renovare.org.
