Lambrini Savvidis, 80, of Newington, our beloved Mom and Yiayia, passed away on October 15, 2012, surrounded by her family. Yiayia was born in Polikastano, Greece to the late Vasilios Donoulis and Yiannoula Tsikaronis on March 15, 1932. Although small in stature, Yiayia was an energetic and feisty woman who will be missed greatly. She is survived by her children Sophia and Georgios Karambinas, Kitsa and Vangeli Vasiliadis, Andreas and Maria Savvidis, and Vasili and Georgia Savvidis; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Efstathios Savvidis and her son Georgios Savvidis. “You were always the center of our hearts and family. You helped raise all of us with a stern hand and a soft heart. You were a little lady with a larger than life attitude. Nothing will ever tarnish your beautiful memory. You have profoundly impacted our lives in so many ways. To you we owe a huge debt of gratitude. You will live on in our hearts. Eternal be your memory. With nothing but our love and respect, Your Fourteen Grandchildren.” Her family would like to extend its gratitude to Father Anthony Gavalas, for his lifelong guidance and support.
