During his professional life, Lamar worked in the commercial and residential drywalling business.
On October 31, 2008, he married Nancy Gabbard. Lamar was blessed with four grandchildren; Austin, Brandon, Alicia and Weston, whom he loved dearly.
One of his greatest hobbies was music and Lamar was extremely talented on the guitar.
Lamar was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Shirley Read Baker, and his brother Brent.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie, his brother Gary (Wendy) Baker, and his sister Linda Bundy.
