Wanda L. Lager, 45, of Aviston, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her home. She was born March 18, 1965 in Highland, daughter of Leander and Delores (Loepker) Schrage and they survive in Breese. She married Gerry Lager on October 22, 1988 in Aviston and he survives in Aviston.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by three daughters, Hannah Lager, Madeline Lager and Sophia Lager all of Aviston; brothers & sisters, Jan (Tom) Hustedde of Breese, Jerry (Pam) Schrage of Suffolk, VA, Ron (Peggy) Schrage of St. Rose, Cindi (Dan) Liening of Breese, “Butch” (Tammy) Schrage of Damiansville, and Debi (Tom) Benhoff of Breese; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Ruth Lager of Aviston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lynn & Bob Rinella, Larry & Connie Lager and Jackie & Charlie Chiarolanza all of Aviston, and Elaine & Bob Herbst of St. Charles, MO; she is also survived by nieces and nephews and a great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Anton & Wilhelmine Loepker; paternal grandparents, Theodore & Gertrude Schrage; and a brother-in-law, Mark Fields. Mrs. Lager was a contract administrator for Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Aviston, a former PSR teacher for the St. Francis Sunday School program, and a former member of the Aviston School Board. She was a graduate of Central Community High School class of 1983 and received a degree in Business Administration in finance from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 1992. She very much loved her family.
