LaForrest Twitchell of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011.  He was born March 31, 1930, in Shelley, Idaho, to Theodore and Leona Kelley Twitchell.  He lived in Idaho, Utah, and California while growing up and graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School.  He attended Utah State, Boise Junior College, and the .University of Idaho.  After receiving his B.S. in Range Management, he was employed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for 13 years, working in Burley, Idaho, Washington, D.C. and Boise, Idaho.   While in Boise, he assisted in setting up the Boise Inter-Agency Fire Center at Gowen Field.  After resigning from the BLM he started his own concrete construction company in Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired in 1995.  Married to Betty Koskie in 1950, they enjoyed 60 years of marriage.

Forrest is survived by his wife, Betty, two sons, Shawn (Vickie) and Mike (Marge) and, two daughters, Jennifer Pedrali and Kerry Gonzales.  Also surviving are six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He attended the Southside Blvd.
