LaDonna L. Covey, age 90, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Parkview Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
Mrs. Covey was born on April 23, 1931, in Indianapolis, IN, to Martin Luther and Bessie M. (Lizemby) Prater. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Covey married Donald R. Covey on June 4, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2011.
Mrs. Covey graduated from Huntington High in 1949 and then attended Beauty College in Fort Wayne. She operated and owned a Beauty Shop in Whitley County. She also was a bus driver for 7 years with Washington Township in Whitley County and 25 years with the Huntington County Community School Corporation. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntington and also attended church at Healing Heart Church of God in Marion.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Gregory) Auer, Columbia City, IN; three sons, Larry Covey and Gary (Lisa) Covey, Terry (Marcia) Covey, all of Huntington, IN; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, JoAnne Prater; and one great-grandson, Paul Kyler Auer.
