BARKHAMSTED –GREEN – Lad D. Green, 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Robi Jo (Anderson) Green for 25 years, together for thirty six. Born January 16, 1962 In Torrington; the son of the late Dean and Caroline (Cheney) Green. Lad was a self employed skilled carpenter. He loved growing up near the Shepaug River in Washington Depot where he could spend time outdoors. He enjoyed any type of music and absolutely loved dancing all night long with whoever could keep up with him. He would bring his girls to clubs and celebrate with all their friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved camping and his annual guys trip four wheeling and camping and sometimes swimming in January. Mostly, Lad was a dedicated family man and will be deeply missed for his unique ways and sense of humor. In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his beloved children, Gwen Althea Green and partner, Le’Roy White, Amelia Elsie Green, Cary Tyler Chamberlin and Jonathan Joshua McFarlane; cherished grandsons, Lindon and Gavin D. White; mother of his children, Ann (Gero) Orloff; and many siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family and close friends. The family would like to ask and welcome anyone to leave stories, comments and even recommendations about Lad and where he loved to fish. They will be planning a “Last Fantastic Fishing Expedition” in his honor all the places he loved to go fishing.
