Lester Keith Storm, 92, passed away October 17, 2013.

He was born May 11, 1921, in Kent, Iowa, to Lester and Dora (Joy) Storm.

The family moved to the Humeston area in 1924.

He attended McMains Country School and graduated from Humeston High School.

Keith was united in marriage to Mary Ann Hazen on October 14, 1944, in Kansas City, KS.

Keith farmed several years near Humeston and Derby, Iowa.

In 1956, he leased the Sinclair station in Derby and operated it for seven years.

Then he drove trucks over the road for Bob Stone Cordage for about three years at which time he purchased the Sinclair tanker trucks and operated the bulk station in Chariton, Iowa.

In 1969, he started working for the Hy-Vee Wholesale.

He worked up to driving trucks for Hy-Vee and did that until his retirement in 1984.

Keith and Mary Ann enjoyed square dancing, travel and were active members of the Red Haw Campers Club and very much enjoyed wintering in Arizona since his retirement.

He enjoyed golf and continued in the sport until he was 91.

He was an accomplished craftsman and took great pride in his many woodworking projects.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Ann, daughter Linda (Rod) McElvain of Iowa City,

son Larry (Jeanne) Storm of Derby, brothers Robert of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Raymond (Shirley) of Derby, Charles (Ruth) of Humeston and sister Patsy Porterfield of Humeston, granddaughters Tami Lyvers of North Liberty, Tandi Dausener of Mount Vernon, and grandson Kelly Storm of Derby,

ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Dora, stepmother, Zora,

brother Virgil and grandson Kevin.
