Kylie R. Davila

July 26, 2000 – May 23, 2021

“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.”Kylie Rebecca Davila, resident of Harlingen, TX, gained her wings on May 23, 2021, at the age of 20. Kylie is survived by her father, Omar Davila Jr., mother, Abrigail Leonard, and stepmother, Aide Delgado; her paternal grandparents, Omar and Olga Davila; maternal grandparents David and Patricia Sullivan; her siblings, Marcus, Patricia, Omarion, Jocelyn, and Arian Davila, Bryson Franklin, Cameron Brown; her uncle, Jeremiah Davila (Vanessa Maldonado), and cousin, Noah Xavier Davila. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Evaristo Davila Jr. and Maria Cervantes Leyva. To know Kylie was to know kindness, love, and strength. Kylie, a twice heart transplant recipient, battled with her physical heart during her short time here on Earth; however, her true heart and the genuine love she had for her family and friends, was indestructible. Kylie never met a stranger. She had a personality that was captivating, a laugh that was contagious, and a smile that could light up the darkest room.Despite her health, Kylie was full of life. She graduated from Keys Academy and attended Texas State Technical College to study education as she aspired to be an elementary school teacher. She was ambitious, intelligent, but most obvious, she was selfless. She would give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar; that was just the type of person she was. She cared for those she loved in a way that was inspiring.
