Kula (Papoutsakis) Maichack, 86, of New Britain, formerly of Plainville, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015. She is now reunited with her husband of 51 years, Steven, who predeceased her in 2014.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 15, 1929, she was one of four children to the late Peter and Catherine (Konpopirakis) Papoutsakis. A longtime resident of Plainville, where she and Steven raised their family, Kula was a member of St.
She is survived by her sister, Esther Douglas of Bethlehem, PA; her two granddaughters, Morgan Maichack of New Haven and Melissa Maichack of Hartford; her great-granddaughter, Iliana Staley; two sisters-in-law, Alexandra Papoutsakis of Brooklyn and Mary Maichack of Naples, FL; a niece, Catherine Papoutsakis; and two nephews, Theodore Papoutsakis and John Kalliongis. She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Maichack and two brothers, John and Paul Papoutsakis.
