Krystyn “Mikolaj” Kasztelan, 66, of New Britain, died on Thursday, February 4, 2021 after a brief illness. Mikolaj was employed as a machinist at Continental Machine Tool Co. He was a hard worker and never took a day off until his illness. He was extremely proud of the life he had made for himself in the U.S. Being a homeowner, he took pride in his house, yard, tomato garden and the most beautiful roses on the street. He was a volunteer for the Hartford Polish Saturday School where he dressed up as Santa Claus for the children during the Christmas season. He loved seeing the joy on children’s faces when they would eagerly tell him what gifts they wanted. He was a good friend and always helped anyone in need. His generosity will be missed by all. He is survived by his longtime companion, “Jagódka” Jadwiga Sankton and her daughter and son-in-law, Monika and Grzegorz Morawski and their daughter, Bianca.
