Krista Noelle Kolosow died at home in the arms of her mother Tuesday afternoon October 30, 2007 after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. She was 29.
Born December 9, 1977 in Huntington Beach, CA, she was the daughter of Pamela Carpenter of Raleigh and Alexander Kolosow of Huntington Beach. She was engaged to Jared Kennison of Raleigh. At the time of her illness, she was an administrative assistant at the Wake County Medical Society.
A devoted Christian, she was an active member of the New Community Church of Raleigh. She was loved for her sharp wit, compassion and willingness to put the needs of others before her own. She was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan who bled Dodgers Blue. She was also an avid movie buff who loved to travel and cook.
She is survived by her parents and fiancée; a brother, Alex Kolosow, II, of Huntington Beach; her grandmother, Olga Kolosow of Cudahy, CA; two aunts, Natalie Kolosow of Cerritos, CA, and Sheila Preedy of Meade, KS.; and a cousin, Micalah Preedy, also of Meade, KS.
