Mr. Koy Kirk Hester of Newnan passed away May 4, 2011. He was born June 4, 1935 in Coweta County to parents Russell Clyde Hester and Birdie Mae Hester, both deceased. Mr. Hester was a Christian and loving husband to Marjorie Tibbits Hester for 13 years. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church for 59 years. During that time he served Elim faithfully as Deacon, chairman of Deacons, Sunday School teacher, director of Sunday School, director of Brotherhood, sang in the Choir and he & his wife helped out with visitation. He joined Macedonia Baptist Church in 2008. He worked for Bonnell as a packer & billing clerk, Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company as an inside salesman, order taker and shipping clerk, Tools Warehouse as a receiving desk order puller. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Dwight L. Hester and his wife Esther L. Hester. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Tibbits Hester of Newnan; sister, Mae Alice Hester of Peachtree City, sister Winona Hester Bryan and her husband Ronald Bryan of Clermont, sister, Beulah Fae Lewis and her husband Gene Lewis of Cleveland, MS, sister Neva Hester Hermes and her husband Mohammad Hermes of Fayetteville; stepson, Ray G. Tibbits and his wife Kay M. Tibbits, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
