Konrad Michael Thompson Schuknecht passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home during the past week. He was born November 28th, 1950 in Seattle, Washington. Konrad was newly retired after dedicating much of his time over the past three decades to the Chandler Parks and Recreation department. His last few weeks alive were filled with the joy of returning to school to study film, the company of beloved family and friends, and jubilant thoughts of his son’s upcoming wedding. Konrad lived a life of travel and adventure; he was an eloquent story teller in every way. From history to art, film, photography, and culture, he would passionately share his knowledge and opinions with those around him. Konrad is survived by his son, Austen; daughter,Ruby; grandson, Drew; brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
