Klaus “Sandy” Soennichsen entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born in Bavaria, Germany in 1947, Sandy immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. Sandy grew up in Weston, CT and graduated from Staples High School in 1965. After joining the Air Force during the Vietnam War, Sandy later finished his college degree at AIC before eventually settling in Westport in 1979.
