Klair Black “K.B” Carroll, 91, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully early Monday October 26, 2015 at Peace Hospice surrounded by his family.

Klair was born to Heber and Martha (Black) Carroll on October 28, 1923 in Blanding, Utah. He was raised and educated in Blanding. In 1947 Klair and Addie “Bernice” Perkins were united in marriage in Arizona. They shared sixty-eight years together, creating a legacy of love and eternal family.

He was in the Army Air Corps, nobly serving our country in the Philippines and then in Korea. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, Klair went on to manage a dairy for many years. He then began a career in plumbing, and worked as a plumber for the remainder of his working years.

Klair had a lifetime love affair with horses. He also enjoyed the outdoors and sharing its beauty with his family in their hunting, camping and fishing adventures.

He lived and died simply, and will be missed by many.

Klair is survived by his loving family; sons Wayne, Roy, Heber, Klair, Vance, Charley and Laine; daughters, Joan Austad, Martha Rushton, Nona Dutchak and Tammy Smith; sixty-four grandchildren; scores of beloved great-grandchildren; and his sister, Aurelia Dotts.

He was met in Heaven by his beloved wife Bernice; son Dean and his parents.
