Kipton (Kip) J. Weaver, age 67 of Midland died at his residence on Sunday June 30, 2014.
The son of the late Roy R. and Ruth H. (Chapman)
Weaver was born October 16, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. Kip graduated from Ironton High School in Ironton, Ohio in 1964 and attended Delta College and Northwood University. Kip then served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1968 to 1974 with Submarine Duty. On January 3, 1975 he married the former Mickey Secord in Midland and she pre-deceased him on June 14, 2003. Kip worked for the Dow Chemical Company retiring with thirty years of service in 2004 as an ODMS Coordinator/Cleanout Specialist/Supervisor. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing in several local pool leagues.
Kip is survived by his daughter Michelle Weaver of Midland: nephews and nieces: Chad & Lynn Yager, Kathy & John Prentice, Brandon Secord, Shae & Jessica Secord, Evan Secord, great niece Jamie Lynn Prentice, great nephew Charlie Yarger, brother-in-law Skip Garlick, sister-in-law Bobbie Mettert and mother-in-law Elouise Burke.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was pre-deceased by his sister Pam Garlick.
