Kimberlyn Brooke Longbotham, April 17, 1996 – May 3, 2014.
Kimmy entered into the fullness of glory on Saturday, May 3rd at Scott & White as the result of a tragic automobile accident. She was born in Temple on April 17th 1996. She is survived by her parents Kirk & Amy Scopac of Temple and William Longbotham of Troy. Her Grandmothers Deidra Vittek and Lana Longbotham both of Temple and Kate Scopac of Glenwood Iowa. Her Grandfather Jim Scopac of Sandy Utah.
Kimberlyn leaves behind 3 siblings whom she loved dearly, Hannah Scopac 13, and Nicholas Scopac 9 of Temple and Jayme Kidder 17 of Belton. Kimmy was set to graduate from Temple High School in June with honors. She also had been named First Team All-District Catcher. She had recently been accepted to Texas State University and had dreams of becoming a teacher. Kimmy had a huge heart for children and that heart led her to spend her mornings working before school at Starting Point Childcare Center, ministering in Children’s Ministry at The Point Christian Fellowship as well as travelling as a missionary to India last summer. Kimmy always said she wanted to change the world and in fact she has.
There are no words to describe the beauty of her life and the lasting impression she left on so many. Her mark on this world reaches far beyond the softball field and the walls of Temple High School. Her personality was larger than life as was her heart. Her eyes so bright and her smile was captivating.
