Kimberly Y. Poindexter (nee Marshall) 45, of O’Fallon, IL, born February 4, 1968, passed away on October 23, 2013, at her home in O’Fallon, IL.
She attended San Diego County Schools and graduated from Will C. Crawford High School in San Diego, California. She worked as a Hair Stylist for a number of years. Kim professed her love of Christ and attended the church where her spirit was uplifted every Sunday. Kim was full of life with a vibrant personality, which made her a wonderful hostess and an all-around joy to be around. Kim’s life was short-lived here on earth, but will forever be remembered as a life that was full of love that spilled over into the lives and hearts of all she met. Kim was preceded in death by her father; George Marshall.
She is survived by her son; Tory Edwards O’Fallon, IL, mother & step-father; Martha & LeRoy Alsup of O’Fallon, IL, 2 brothers; Marcus & MaKeba Marshall of Granite City, IL, and Nicholas Alsup of O’Fallon, IL, 1 sister: Amber Alsup of O’Fallon, IL, niece; Sha`Tyra Marshall of Pembroke Pines, FL, an unborn granddaughter and a host of family and friends stretching from California, Georgia, Florida, and Virginia.
