Kimball Ross Findlay loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away surrounded by his family August 30, 2017. He was born to Ross Partington Findlay and Linnie Taylor Marchant formerly of Ephraim, Utah on July 14, 1951. He grew-up with his brothers and sisters in Ephraim, Utah and graduated from Manti High school. He would serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) to the California Los Angeles Spanish speaking mission. In 1974, he married Rickie Lynn Julander in the Manti Utah LDS Temple for time and all eternity. He attended Snow College for an Associate of Science and Utah State University for his Bachelors in Elementary Education, Master’s and Ed.S in  Instructional Technology. He and his family moved to Alabama in the mid 80’s as he worked for several different military contract companies providing his learning systems experience.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. He was a faithful home teacher and loved his family’s very much. He was a scout and participated, as well as organized a plethora of scouting activities in his lifetime. More recently he was active with the Mercury Amateur Radio Association or MARA, serving as President at the time of his passing. Radios of all kinds played a huge part of his life from childhood through his teenage years and on into his adulthood.

He is survived by his loving wife Rickie and his 9 children; Michael J. (Bonnie) Findlay of Decatur, AL; Sarah E. (Ted) Iwinski of Boulder City, NV; Bonnie (Sean) Culbertson of Gurley, AL; Linnie M. Findlay of Madison, AL; Andrew K. Findlay of Madison, AL; Joseph R. Findlay of Madison, AL; Rachael A. (Chris) Findlay of Las Vegas, NV; Mary M. (Matthew) Grace of Madison, AL; Esther P. Findlay of Madison, AL. He has twelve grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother John Michael Findlay.

He is also survived by several of his brothers and sisters; Bruce (Linda) Findlay; Roslyn (Craig) Jackson; Donald J. (Catherine) Findlay; Kathleen (Richard) Findlay; Scott W. (Deana) Findlay; Charles R. (Penny) Findlay.

The family expresses deep appreciation to Dr. L. Katragadda, Dr. Roswell Pfister, Dr. Scott Royster and all the staff of Blackwell Towers oncology unit for their kind and loving care.
