Kevin Lee Smith, 43, of Fairview Heights, IL, born October 4, 1963 in St. Louis, MO, passed away in peaceful sleep Friday, December 22, 2006 at his residence. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Opal Nye (nee Lappin) who had resided in Phoenix, AZ, father Lee Smith who had resided in Mayfield, KY, both formerly of Fairview Heights, IL. and a niece Dana Mattatall. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He gave so much of himself to his family and friends. His wit, big smile and bear hugs will always be remembered. Be at peace Kevin.
He is survived by his children Austin and Shannon Smith of Wisconsin, sister Sharon (Bob) Conlin of Peoria, AZ, nieces; Lauren Mattatall of Glendale, AZ & Beth Mattatall of Chelsea, MI, and a great nephew Joey Mattatall of Chelsea, MI.
