Kevin Anthony Scott, of St. Johns, died on April 27, 2024. He was 60 years old.Kevin was born on January 2, 1964 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, raised by Harry and Doris (Wieber) Scott in St. Johns and was a 1982 graduate of St. Johns High School. He married Janene Bushrey on June 26, 1987 and they were blessed with two children, Daniel and Emily.Kevin was recently a dedicated member of Operating Engineers 324 and employed by C D Hughes Inc in Charlotte as a heavy machine operator where he cherished his work and his colleagues. Known for his larger-than-life personality, charismatic presence, smart ass nature and quick wit, Kevin made friends easily and was loved by all. Among his most cherished moments were spent scoping out new golf courses, hunting, and fishing. He loved his family, German Shorthaired Pointers and being outside. His love for adventure was only paralleled by his love for his grandchildren, who were his world. Kevin was a man with a big heart who would do anything for anyone.He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly thirty seven years, Janene R. Scott; his son, Daniel Scott; his daughter, Emily (Mark) Hofmeister; beloved grandchildren, Sarah Scott and Alexander Hofmeister; sister, Janine (Jack) Larsen; niece, Trisha Wiseman as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Doris Scott and his beloved GSPs, Tucker, Nitro and Bud.
