Kevin Michael Sheehan, 62, passed away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Wednesday May 11, 2022.
Kevin was survived by his only child, Margaret Joan Sheehan, only grandchild, Benjamin Michael Gordon, Mother Joan Hanlon, brother Frank (Sue) Sheehan, sister Joan Sheehan, sister Robyn Schlosbon, sister Marge (Ray) DelFera, brother Kenny Sheehan, sister Doreen Sheehan, brother Brian Sheehan, brother Shawn (Jennifer) Sheehan, stepbrother Johnny Hanlon along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Francis Sheehan Sr., Stepmother Rose Sheehan, and Stepfather John Hanlon.
Kevin was a cherished son, a loving and much-loved father, an incredibly proud grandfather, devoted brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, and a loyal friend. He was a quiet man, a man of few words, a man with a gentle soul and a man with a kind heart. A man that will be greatly missed.
Kevin grew up in Prospect Park, Pa., was a student of the Interboro High School. Kevin was a great athlete, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball as a teen and young adult, owned and played both string and electric guitars and loved playing them both. When he wasn’t playing basketball with his brothers, friends and dad in Park Square he was hanging out in the neighborhood with his tight knit group of friends and siblings playing games like Buck Buck, handball and stickball.
As an adult Kevin enjoyed shooting pool, playing darts, fishing, playing chess and playing cards. He was a character for sure, his laugh would make you want to laugh along with him and everyone that knew him loved him. If you had a nickname, Kevin was definitely calling you by it, and if you didn’t he was certainly going to give you one.
He was a hard working family man owning his own roofing business before working for Sun Oil and Wilson’s Oil.
Kevin was a zealous fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, a history buff, the absolute authority on all things Court TV related and an avid watcher of The Weather Channel and Wicked Tuna,” local on the 8’s”, if you know, you know! He was always quick to give one of us a call to recommend a good movie or a great tv series that he thought you would like. So dad, you win, after years of you insisting and us resisting Ben and I have made a promise to each other that we will both watch Ray Donovan, and when we do, we’ll be thinking of you.
