Kevin Lee Vogel, 66 of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. He was born on May 19, 1955 in Evergreen Park, IL, to the late Gerald and Johnita (Hogan) Vogel. Kevin is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Vogel of Chicago, Illinois; three sons, Christopher Vogel of LaGrange, Illinois, Kenny “Buford” Vogel of South Bend, Indiana, Cody Elkins of LaPorte, Indiana; his longtime companion, Nora Dawson of Hudson Lake, Indiana; one step-daughter, Rebecca Elkins of Michigan City, Indiana; three sisters, Gail Sterkel of North Judson, Indiana, Bonnie Payne of Greenwood, Indiana, Cathy ‘Twin Sister” Roush of New Carlisle, Indiana; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Vogel.
Kevin worked for many years running his own auto repair shop. He also ran a snowplowing service during the winter months. He enjoyed Drag racing his pride and joy “Camaro”. He enjoyed going to the casino, long drives listening to old country music (Kenny Rogers was his favorite), and looking at Christmas lights. Kevin will be deeply missed by his family.
