Kevin was a member of the Almighty RSO, a rap group that had a huge local following. He then fanned out into dedicating his love for music and became a very popular DJ in the area and had many requests to perform. During that time, he began to work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where he met Soni and began a 32-year relationship that produced his two sons, Kevin Maxton and Devin Faustino.

Kevin studied and graduated at the Salter School in Malden to be certified as a Billing Specialist and was last employed by Integra Life Sciences. He enjoyed helping others and was good for a bad joke, or a prank just to get you to smile or laugh.

To say that Kevin was bigger than life is an understatement. At 6 feet 5 inches, he towered over everyone — but his personality was just as big if not bigger. He enjoyed cooking for his family and was always coming up with special recipes that sometimes were not that special.

Kevin was a sharp dresser and had all of his outfits “coordinated” from head to toe. He was sought out by many, but his focus was always on his family. Soni, Max and Tino were his priority, never left their sides and never wanted for anything. He also looked out for his mother and sister, and could be heard in loving arguments with his brothers over basketball and football games, as well as which song mixes would work the best. Kevin was the best in proving that practice makes perfect and sometimes you could hear the music halfway down the block.

Kevin is survived by his loving fiance, Sonia “Soni” Rivera; beloved sons, Kevin “Max” Maxton Means and Devin “Tino” Faustino Means; siblings Hudis III (Renee) Means, Karen Means, Brian (Beverly) Means, and Corey Means. He is predeceased by his parents, Hudis Means Jr. and Grace Marie Means; brother Michael (Denise) Means; and sister Gracelyn (Deb) Means. He is also survived by his in-laws Maria (Alberto) Rivera, who he called “Mama”; Olga I. Rivera; Virginia (Robert) Gardi; Albert Rivera; Rudy Rivera; and a myriad of nieces and nephews, who loved their uncle Kevin.

Rest in peace gentle giant.
