Kevin J. Kopech, age 58, passed away suddenly, at his residence in Palm Harbor, Florida on October 19, 2021. Kevin was born in Joliet, IL, on January 26, 1963, the son of the late John S. and Mary H. Kopech. He was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1981 and he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern Illinois University, Class of 1987. Kevin worked briefly in the Chicagoland area after graduating NEIU and then relocated to the Clearwater, Florida area. In Florida, Kevin found his dream career in the temp staffing industry where he was the Regional Sales Director for over 10 years. He loved his work and will always be remembered by clients, friends, and coworkers for his comedic sense of humor, and belly aching laughter. Even though he relocated to Florida, Kevin never gave up rooting for his beloved Chicago “Cubbies” and Bears.
Kevin is survived by his pride and joy – his twins, Kacie and Kevin Joseph “Joe” Kopech; sisters, Carol (Drew) Meirow of Colorado and Jan Hirmer of Elwood, IL; nieces, Kelsey Hirmer and Haile Meirow; and nephew, Liam Meirow; along with an abundance of loving cousins and friends.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, John S. (1999) and Mary H. (2016) Kopech; and his brother-in-law, Chris J. Hirmer (July 2021).
