Kevin F. O’Farrell of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family in the early morning hours of Monday, May 24th in his home. He is now rejoicing with his Lord Jesus and with Maili Soile (Koski) O’Farrell, his beloved wife of 48 years. Born in Killarney, Ireland on March 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Patrick and Kathleen (O’Malley) O’Farrell. He was educated as a young teenager in Ireland and proudly came to the US at the age of 15. He continued his education in Worcester and was a graduate of the New England Institute of Technology.Kevin married the love of his life Maili and together they raised five children. A member of the Air National Guard of Massachusetts where he honorably served as a Staff Sgt, receiving the Airman of the Year Award in 1964. He was a man of great faith, and a proud American. He had worked for many years for Raytheon Corp. as an Electromechanical Specialist where he was recognized for his involvement with the Apollo Mission. Kevin had a passion for photography and at one point owned a photo-finishing lab. He retired from the Town of Hanover Police Department as the Director of Maintenance. He was an avid, enthusiastic runner and enjoyed participating in charity races statewide.Kevin and Maili had traveled extensively throughout the world, Hawaii being their favorite destination. Kevin also loved bicycling, fishing, and golfing but could always be found caring for his beautiful gardens. He is survived by his children, Deborah Pelrine of Plymouth, Denise Lotfi and her husband Ali of Weston, Kerri O’Farrell-Snell, and her husband Brian of Merrimack, N.H., and Kevin P. O’Farrell and his wife Kathryn of Plymouth. He was predeceased by his son, Theodore Gardiner.Cherished grandfather of Danny, Matthew, Kayla, Jazmin, Samantha, Kaila, Azita, Arezu, Brandon and Scarlett and great grandfather of Ava, Brian, and Alina. He was the brother of Frances Mathieu of Auburn. Kevin is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
