Kevin Edward Knolhoff, age 55 of Centralia, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born March 29, 1961 in Centralia, son of Norman Knolhoff and Lucille (Holle) Knolhoff.
He married Beth Fischer on April 2, 2011 in Las Vegas and she survives in Centralia.In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ciera Peck and husband Ryan of Centralia; grandson, Jaxon Peck of Centralia; brother, Dale Knolhoff of Hoffman; sister, Marsha Abernathy and husband Dennis of Hoffman; brother-in-law, Bruce Fischer of Centralia; sister-in-law, Sue Francois and husband Mike of Walnut Hill; five nephews and three nieces: Michael Abernathy and wife Kathy of Hoffman, Jim Francois and wife Lisa of Evansville, IN, Joe Francois and wife Tracy of Centralia, Thomas Fischer and wife Carolyn of Mahomet, John Fischer of Centralia, Teresa Haake and husband Denny of Hoffman, Julie Fruendt and husband Kevan of St. Louis, MO, and Grace Malekovic and husband Albert of Centralia; several great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edward and Martha Knolhoff and Martin and Emilie Holle. Kevin graduated from Carlyle High School. He worked at Centralia Correctional Center as a Lieutenant for 29 years and he retired in 2011. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman. He enjoyed playing golf and liked to watch the St. Louis Cardinals. Kevin was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s Fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandson, family and friends.
