Kevin S. Coopman “Coop”, 56, of Homosassa, FL passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, in Florida.
He was born October 11, 1965, in Lafayette, IN to Ralph L. and Virginia A. (Snell) Coopman. He was a graduate of McCutcheon High School and earned an Associate Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii.
Kevin was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. While in the Air Force Kevin served as a Supply Systems Analysis (Craftsman). After retirement, Kevin continued to serve his country as the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Division Chief, Enterprise Customer Service at Hickham AFB, HI for 17 years. He married Fouzia Boukantar on 27 March in 2018.
Along with his wife, Fouzia Coopman; he is survived by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Coopman; 6 children, Joshua (Kayla) Coopman, Danielle (JD) Browning, Alec (Juslyn) Coopman, Quentin (Sarah) Chouvel, Shana (James Castro) Boukantar, Shelsea Boukantar; 2 sisters, Lori (Gary) Smith and Carla Coopman; a brother, Bruce (Melissa) Coopman; 9 grandchildren, Kai, McKenna, Davis, Wesley, Coralei, Aili, Dallas, Tova, Tala; and 10 nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jessica, Tad, Nathaniel, Brandon, Wesley, Bridgette, Katelyn, Garrett, and Dylan.
Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Coopman, and sister, Cheryl Sears.
