Kevin Connelly, age 37, resident of Milford, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012.  He was the son of Diana and James Connelly, brother to Brian Connelly and grandson to Rita Parent.  Kevin was predeceased by grandparents Mary and John Connelly, Noel Parent and his uncle, Theodore Parent.  Kevin was born on May 8, 1975 and enjoyed fishing and going to the movies with his mother.  He played “T” ball for several years for the Milford Cardinals, and spent many hours tossing a ball with Webster, the family’s yellow lab whom he loved dearly.

Graduating from Foran  High  School in 1993, Kevin lettered in track in his senior year, and competed in past years in shot put, discus, javelin and numerous wheelchair Tri State Competitions through Newington Children’s Hospital, and won several medals for his efforts.  He was awarded the Coaches’ Trophy for the best overall competitor on April 30, 1988.  While employed at Home Depot for many years, Kevin would usually have a small parade of customers following him specifically seeking him out for help with their projects, as his knowledge of the store and all its contents was his strong point as well as “Do It Yourself” ideas and guidance.

Kevin also found happiness in helping people by driving them to hospitals, when necessary, as well as to doctor’s appointments, food shopping or would just drop in on a friend in need.  This was a very large part of his life which he loved doing.  Kevin will be lovingly remembered and missed, and it was truly our joy to experience all he had to share with us during his life.  He was a great son, very loving and kind, and his enormous infectious smile will always touch our hearts.  Our family wishes to thank all those who were willing to love and share Kevin’s life with him.  In doing this, our family was very comforted knowing he had angels on this earth who watched over him, and needless to say, he was very easy to love.
