Kerwin Anthony Ynaya, thirty-nine years old, of Toms River, NJ passed away Saturday November 30, 2013 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. Kerwin had spent many years of his life courageously, and heroically battling the complications of cardiomyopathy, and then the complications occurring after heart transplantation.

He had endured each, and every procedure, and treatment imaginable with an unbelievable, genuine smile, which was proof of the true hero, and incredible man he was. His laughter, his disarming smile, and the sound of his comforting voice will be missed by all who knew him. Kerwin graduated Dickinson High School, Jersey City, NJ, before attending Ocean County College, Toms River. He had been employed at Country Manor Nursing Home, Toms River, before becoming employed as a devoted EMT, and an EMT field supervisor for Alert Ambulance Company, Lakewood.

Kerwin was an exceptional artist, and enjoyed painting, and drawing, especially with his daughter, who had inherited his talented artistic abilities. He loved listening to his son play the guitar. He was surely proud of what he had accomplished as a father, and a husband. He was a giving husband, and father who gave his all to his wife, and children up until his final days on this earth. He was a wonderful son, and brother, who would never hang up the telephone without saying the words, “I love you.”

Kerwin is survived by his wife, Mary Rose (Fargo) Ynaya; his son, Christian Anthony Ynaya; his daughter, Emily Rose Ynaya; his parents, Dominador Ynaya, and Maria Ynaya, Toms River; his sister, Mariel Ynaya, Allentown, Pennsylvania; and brother Don Ynaya, Bayonne, NJ. His uncles, aunts, mother-in-law, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and friends will miss him dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the special caregivers at Temple University Hospital who provided him with excellent care, and devotion for many years. Kerwin was so grateful for all of your help, and kindness throughout the years.
