Kert C. Colvin of Moscow was pronounced deceased at his Moscow home on Friday, December 1, 2017. He was 44. Kert was born August 23, 1973 in Oxnard, California to Brice and Jan Garrison Colvin, both former Moscow residents. He graduated from Rio Mesa High School in Oxnard in 1991. Kert attended Ventura Junior College for two years following graduation, and then transferred to the University of Idaho in 1994. He graduated from UI with a degree in Computer Science in 2000. Kert was active during this time helping with the family business in Moscow managing and maintaining apartment rentals. After graduation, he moved back to Southern California to provide total care of his parents with their terminal illnesses. Following the death of both parents, Kert moved back to Moscow to be near his brother Dean and his family. In his spare time he read a great deal, particularly books about coding on computers. He played a multitude of musical instruments, including drums, bass guitar, clarinet, and piano. He played these in many genres of bands over his lifetime.
