Newark – Kerry Thomas Akins, 42 died peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Family and friends may call Friday (Nov. 16) from 11 to 1 at the Norman L.
Kerry was born the son of Garry Akins and Elaine Ryan on April 25, 1965 in Lyons, NY. He enjoyed working with wood, fishing and drawing. Kerry collected dragons and eagles. Due to health reasons Kerry was not able to work full time, however when he was able, he worked as a laborer for Bob Meyers’ Electric in Macedon.
Kerry will be remembered by his mother Elaine (Robert) Meyers of Palmyra; father Garry (Jean) Akins of N. Rose; sister Lorri (Doug) Keyton of Clyde; brothers Garry Akins II of Newark and Chris (Kris) Akins of Marion; maternal grandmother Edith Ryan of Newark, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kerry was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Francis Ryan in 2000; paternal grandparents Emmry and Freda Akins in 1980 and 2002 respectfully.
