Kerri Lynn Van de Wetering was born in Clarkston, Washington on April 3, 1968 to Gary and Sharon Locke. She then moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she lived until the fifth grade. She then spent her middle school years in Cascade, Idaho and then eventually moved to Fruitland, Idaho where she graduated from Fruitland High School.
During her high school years, she made many great friends and it was at that time where she discovered her ability to play basketball. She set scoring records in the Idaho State tournament and was an all-league and all-state player. She then spent the next four years playing and attending school at Northwest Nazarene College. She had a successful career and earned a degree in business.
After college Kerri was employed at Farm Credit for four years in Caldwell, Idaho and for First Interstate Bank in Caldwell for four years. It was at that time she met her husband Ryan Van de Wetering. She stayed with Edward Jones Investments in Boise for 19 years. During this time, she and Ryan had their two sons, Tyler who was born in 2001, and Cody who was born in 2004 in Nampa, Idaho.
Kerri had many friends and loved camping trips, trips to the condo in Cascade, but most of all loved hiking with her hiking group, “The Summit Sisters”.
She is survived by her husband, Ryan, two sons Tyler and Cody of Nampa; parents, Gary and Sharon Locke; and one brother, Brian (Trina) Locke of Yakima, Washington.
