Kerin Eileen Hewitt, age 59, died peacefully at Advent Health Hospital in Tampa, Florida, in the early morning hours of August 6, 2020. Kerin was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida on April 26, 1961. She grew up in Tampa, Florida, attended Chamberlain High School, and spent her entire life in the Tampa Bay area.
She was preceded in death by her beloved cousin, Dr. Frederick Reddy, whom she absolutely adored; her biological father, A. Mobley; her foster mother, Barbara Schaffer, and her adopted parents, Dr. John and Ven Da Rae Hewitt.
She is survived by her cousin (in-law), Maisie Reddy (Mrs. Dr. Frederick Reddy); Dr. and Mrs. Reddy’s children, Kenya Reddy and Frederick Reddy, Jr.; half-sister Alison Hewitt; brother, John Hewitt; her biological mother, Martha Nieves; aunts, Vivian Nieves-Ross and Rev. Emma Bibeau; foster sisters, Annessa Mortensen-Stennett and Melissa Stanton; foster brother-in-laws Mark Stennett and Dave Greene; and foster cousin, Terry Ryan. She is also survived by a great number of close personal friends who loved Kerin with all of their hearts.
She will be remembered by the love and kindness she shared with all who knew her.
